Medusa — Frequently Asked Questions

How do I order the Medusa?

Contact us via email or WhatsApp with the Medusa model name. We'll guide you through material options, customization choices, and the measurement process. Every suit is built from scratch to your exact measurements.

What sizes does the Medusa come in?

The Medusa doesn't come in standard sizes. Every suit is custom-tailored to your exact body measurements. We provide a detailed measurement guide and can assist remotely or in person at our Hurghada location.

Can I customize the Medusa?

Yes. Beyond the standard configuration, you can add upgrades like bronze zippers, silicone seals, QCS quick-change systems, P-valve installation, Kevlar reinforcements, custom stitching colors, and personalized embroidery.

How long does it take to receive my Medusa?

Manufacturing takes 8-12 weeks from confirmed order. Each Medusa is handmade in Italy by skilled artisans — there are no shortcuts in the production process. Shipping time to your location is additional and depends on your region.

How does the Medusa compare to other Ugly Fish models?

The Medusa prioritizes mobility with raglan sleeves and dual-weight trilaminate. The Hydroman offers a simpler, more versatile platform. For heavier protection, the professional-grade Stone, Kryptonite, or Ninja trade some mobility for superior abrasion resistance.

What seal types are available?

All suits come standard with latex wrist and neck seals. You can upgrade to neoprene seals for extra durability, silicone seals for longer lifespan and comfort, or a QCS (Quick-Change Seal) ring system that lets you swap seals yourself in the field without tools.

How do I care for and maintain my drysuit?

Rinse your suit with fresh water after every dive, especially in saltwater. Dry it fully before storage — inside and out. Wax the zipper regularly with the included zipper wax. Store the suit hanging up, away from direct sunlight and heat. Avoid folding for extended periods.

What warranty comes with the Medusa?

The Medusa comes with a manufacturer warranty from Ugly Fish covering defects in materials and workmanship. Sealachi provides full after-sales support including service, repairs, and warranty claims at our Hurghada service center.
